Who We Are
Hope International Church is a strong evangelical church in
the Metro-West area of Boston. As a visitor, we hope you will find we are
uncommonly open and friendly, and don't be surprised if you get an invitation to
go to someone's home for Sunday lunch. You will also find that there are
many mature believers among us, so this is a great church if you really want to
grow spiritually and make your life count for the Lord. We are a very
diverse church in many dimensions - age, nationality, race, single or married,
education or occupation - and we really love each other because we are one in
Jesus Christ.
We call ourselves and "international" church for
several reasons. First, the Boston metropolitan area is very
international, so it is right and natural for us to draw from many
nationalities. Moreover, we are capitalizing on our location by reaching
out to internationals through an excellent English as a Second Language (ESL)
program in the Fall, Spring and Summer. We share our building with a
Haitian and a Korean church, and we helped to establish an Ethiopian church in
downtown Boston. We also have a substantial missions program, several of
our folks travel overseas every year for short ministry trips and we generally
strive to cultivate a mature "world Christian" attitude.
Please browse through our website and learn about the ways we
minister to each other for our own spiritual growth and how we reach out to the
world around us. Whether you are new in the area and looking for a church
home, whether you are becoming interested in spiritual matters and are looking
for answers, or whether you just happen to be in Boston this week - pay us a
visit this Sunday and get acquainted!
To learn more about us, meet our leadership,
read about our view of worship, peruse our list of distinguishing
slogans,
and share our laughter over some great jokes.
We welcome you to participate in the life and ministries of our
church, whether you are seeking to learn more about God or to deepen your
relationship with Him.
