Worship
As Christians, we will be worshiping God for all eternity,
and we don't want to wait for heaven to get started! We gather for worship
on Sundays at 10:00 am. Our worship music style is a blend of
contemporary Christian songs and the great traditional hymns of the
faith. Our sermons are expository in nature, seeking to draw out the true
meaning and message of the scriptures. We tend to preach through books of the Bible, although from
time to time we present sermon studies on relevant topical issues.

Children’s Church
During the first half of our Sunday worship service, children
stay with the adults to
join in song and prayer. During the sermon
, the
children are dismissed and meet for their own time of worship and
instruction from God’s Word. This is an opportunity for them to learn more
about worship and and receive instruction from the Scriptures in a manner
geared more to their age level. The children meet in two separate groups
covering ages 5-8 and 9-12 respectively.

Nursery Care
(Ages 4 and under)
During our worship service, Sunday School/Bible Hour, and all other major church events, we
have nursery care available for children 4 years old and younger.

Lord's Supper
We celebrate this remembrance of Christ's
sacrificial death together during Sunday worship on the second
Sunday of each month.

Sunday School
“Bring up [your children] in the training and instruction
of the Lord” (Eph.6:4b).
The mission of the church to take the good
news of Jesus Christ to every nation begins at home with our children. We take
this charge very
seriously, desiring our children to be raised up as people who love and serve
God with all their hearts. We strive as a church to help parents in this
task by offering Sunday School classes each Sunday morning after the worship
service from 11:45am to 12:30pm. Our lessons
are Bible-based with a view to teaching the children how to apply Scriptural principles to their daily lives.
Bible Hour
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,
a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of
truth” (2 Tim.2:15).
Bible Hour (Adult Sunday School) provides us
with the opportunity
to dig more deeply into a book of the Bible, or a topic of theology, apologetics
(defense of the Christian faith), or principles for living as a Christian. This
is a place where we can broaden and deepen our understanding of God’s Word
more than we might be able to on our own. The goal of this study is
to be better equipped to serve God. Some topics that we cover fairly regularly
include: marriage, parenting, understanding the cults, understanding world
religions. We have also studied through Bible books ranging from Genesis
to John in recent years. Bible Hour is held after the worship service each Sunday from
11:45am to 12:30pm.

Prayer
Meetings
As a church we realize that “we can only go
forward on our knees;” or as the Lord Himself put it, “Apart from Me you can
do nothing” (John.15:5c). For that reason, we as a church place a high priority
on individual and corporate prayer. Our desire is to bathe every one of
our efforts in prayer. Along with the other Evangelical Free Churches of New England, we have
taken a two year pledge to pray daily for revival and awakening throughout the
country and the world. We also have a weekly Harvest Prayer meeting specifically devoted to
prayer for the spread of the good news of Jesus Christ worldwide. We also
gather for prayer as a church on at least one additional evening per month
(usually a Friday) to intercede for the needs of the church and God’s greater Kingdom.

Bible Studies and House Churches
In keeping with our desire to be regularly feeding
ourselves upon God’s Word, we offer several Bible studies which meet
throughout the week for fellowship, prayer and study of the Scriptures. These
include a Singles Bible Study, geared primarily toward older singles; a College
and Career Bible Study, aimed primarily at younger adults; and House Churches
which cater more to families, but are open to all and tend to be quite mixed.

Fellowship Meals
We realize that some of the best fellowship occurs across a
table at mealtime! Knowing this, we enjoy sharing a potluck meal together
on the second Sunday of each month (July and August excepted.) The meal
takes place immediately after Bible Hour/Sunday School. The food is always
great, second only to the encouragement of time with others.

Home School Support
A number of families in the church have
chosen to home school thier children. As part of our support for them, we
welcome a Christian home school co-op that meets weekly in the church building.

Social Events
We have searched the Scriptures cover to
cover and have yet to find any place where it says Christians can’t have fun
once in a while. Consequently, we hold fun events from time to time such as
church picnics, retreats, ice cream socials, game nights, baked good auctions
(to raise money for missions), Parents’ Night Out (free babysitting for
parents) and Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner (where you don’t know which
families or individuals are coming over for a potluck dinner until they get
there), just to name a few. If you’re interested in joining us for any of
these fun events, just let us know; it’s a great way to meet people in the
church and find out what we’re all about.
